Heli is based on the helical pattern of the sunflower. The form draws attention to the hidden mathematical rules which shape the patterns of life. Distinguishing itself from the majority of Wood’s designs, Heli uses a different dichroic application, which creates a gradation in size from inner to outer circle. This results in the dichroic emerging from the panel to create a more sculptural form.
