Commissioned by ‘UltraRed Light’ to create a centrepiece artwork for the welcome area of their clinic. Specialising in light therapy, UltraRed Light felt a natural affinity with Wood’s practice.

The final design is an interpretation of the company’s logo, itself a symbolic manifestation of light.

The varying sizes of dichroic elements take the flowing curves of the identity into a new dimension, creating patterns and movement for light to interact with.

Taking advantage of the curved wall feature, the piece will be suspended from two wire cables positioned just in front of the surface, allowing it to interact with the architecture and the ever-changing play of light in the space.
